Private Tuition

Justin is an experienced, enthusiastic and dedicated music educator. He fervently believes in the powerful difference music can make to our lives. He has teaching experience in a vast range of genres and leads big bands, percussion ensembles and orchestras through to university level. Justin is much in demand as a workshop leader, focussing on jazz, ensemble interplay/teamwork and embodied rhythm. He also leads classes which bring meditation and mindfulness into music making to expand our sense of ourselves and encourage more positive and expansive mental states.

Justin believes that the needs of every student are unique. Therefore, beyond ensuring that solid musical foundations are in place, he tries to make the learning process one that is unique, exciting and individually-tailored to each student.

Justin is currently a visiting music teacher and ensemble/workshop leader at King’s College, London; Whitgift School, Croydon; Lady Eleanor Holles School, Hampton; Hazelwood school, Oxted. He also has a handful of dedicated private students and is frequently asked to provide consultation lessons for those interested in going on to study music at conservatoire or university level.
